Computational Analysis of Genomic Experiments in Blood Diseases

Description:
We are collaborating with the HSCI Blood program scientific community (comprising of the laboratories of Dan Tenen, Scott Armstrong, Stuart Orkin, Len Zon and David Scadden) to develop and expand the online repository of genomics data. The data primarily comprises of gene expression data from different types of stem cells (embryonic stem cells (ES), adult hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) and leukemic stem cells (LSC)); different organisms (zebrafish, mouse and human) and different technology platforms. We are developing novel computational methods to integrate information from gene expression, transcription factor binding sites and protein interaction data to achieve the goal of understanding the molecular mechanisms behind stem cell self-renewal, differentiation and the development of leukemia.
