Semantic Resources

The Semantic Resources project in collaboration with Science Commons aims to develop semantically structured biomedical resources such as antibodies, mouse models and cell types. Our goal is to ensure that the SCF and SWAN user communities are able to take best advantage of emerging Semantic Web access to biomedical knowledge. Such access will let researchers ask new kinds of questions across specialist domains in Alzheimer Disease, Stem Cell research, and other fields - supporting more efficient choice and design of experiments and analysis of their results. Using the needs of the SWAN and SCF communities as our model, we will aim to provide software and knowledge components that can also be easily integrated into projects serving other scientific communities.
